Bachelor in Logistic Management
Today’s businesses become more competitive due to rapid change and globalization. Competition in both local and international markets require an excellent distribution network as a must.
By the rapid change in development of information technologies, business processes are changed and the customers accelerate their expectations. We start to notice more and more impatient customers in the market, and customers start to inquire about different delivery channels. In order to survive in such a challenging environment, logistics and logistics management are becoming increasingly important. Logistics deal with procurement of raw materials, their delivery to the production environment, storage of raw material as well as finished goods, and distribution channels, which are also important activities within a supply chain. These changes increase the importance of logistics both in Turkey, as a bridge between east and west, and globally. Therefore, we do see an increase in Logistics programs in both national and international universities.

Aim of the program
The purpose of the Logistics Management program is both to promote the importance of the logistics in Turkey and help national and international companies by providing well prepared professionals. As a bridge between the East and the West, Turkey is becoming a hub for many logistics firms. Therefore, the program has both interdisciplinary and international content. The courses are designed to meet the needs of the sector, they are supported by foreign language and computer labs, and are held in modern classrooms. In addition, the curriculum includes subjects covering all transport modes (road, sea, rail, air and inland water way transport). We expect our graduates to have both theoretical background and market experience, by means of the branded courses, ad co-op opportunities in logistics.
When I first came to Istanbul and started at BAU 3 years ago , I was unsure about my future and anxious about the challenges I was going to face like the language barrier and cultural differences.. But Bahcesehir University gave me the support and confidence to grow both personally and professionally because of its very caring, homely and diverse environment.
apart from my study, I have been involved with various activities such as being the Head of event organization in the bahcesehir international student’s committee club (BISC)- which I was previously a part of as the Egyptians representative – as well as my work in the university’s international student’s office where I use my academic and professional skills to improve current and newly registered students lives by answering their frequently asked questions whenever I can.
I am grateful to all my BAU professors , colleagues and friends who I now call FAMILY .
